Frontiers: Heartland Institute for Clinical and Translational Research
Frontiers is a network of scientists from across Kansas and the region working on research that transforms laboratory discoveries into treatments and cures. It is part of the Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) consortium, a national group of medical research institutions funded by NIH. The goal of Frontiers is to:
- improve the health of Kansans by bringing promising drugs to the public quicker
- inform and educate patients about their options for clinical trials
- work with communities to identify their health-care needs and with leading institutions to address emerging issues in health care
