Accessible Arts Summer Camp Volunteer Opportunity

You Can Help

The Volunteer Center of the United Way of Wyandotte County is trying to match willing individuals with the right volunteer opportunity. Help improve your community by contributing your time, and in the process gain new skills, build your resume and meet new people. If you want to help or are an organization in need of help, please call the Volunteer Center at (913) 371-3674.

URGENT NEED

RSVP Assistant-organize, friendly and dependable volunteers are needed to assist with general office duties.  Those duties can include filing, preparing mailings, putting packets together, making phone calls, etc.  Volunteers are needed one day a week for at least a two-hour shift.  For more information or to volunteer please call Chandra at 913-371-3674.

YouthBuild, a program that works with at-risk young adults is in need of female mentors. These volunteers need to be able to motivate and relate to young women 16-25 years of age. The young women need to have positive role models in their lives as they take a new direction. These young people need someone who can listen, who can advise, who can inspire. Maybe one of these young women could job shadow you for a day. What a great experience. If interested, please call Tammy at 913-3713770.
