Draft IACUC Policies

Draft Policy Review: IACUC now reviews and approves all policies and IACUC SOPs. It is recognized that all animal care and use staff may have valuable input into the procedures we follow and a process for providing this input is being initiated. Prior to the approval of any new or revised policy, the draft policy will be posted here.

Draft policies will remain linked to this page for 30 days prior to review by IACUC. During this time period, any interested KUMC associate may review the policy and forward any comments to IACUC for consideration. Comments should be submitted to IACUC@kumc.edu. The subject line should contain the word "Comment" and the Policy title (for example – Comment, Holding of Animals Not Covered by Active Protocol/ACUP). All comments will be considered by IACUC prior to approval.
