Kansas Board of Regents policy requires faculty and unclassified staff of Regents institutions to file a conflict of interest report upon employment and at least annually thereafter. In addition, federal policies require assurances that all investigators on a research project are in compliance with institutional conflict of interest reporting procedures. Conflict of interest reporting is, in most instances, completed via electronic submission in the eCompliance system. Read below for training and support or link directly to

Reporting Methods: eCompliance and Otherwise

  • If you are a KUMC faculty or staff member, then you should already have an account in eCompliance. You can access the system at Log in using your KUMC username and password.
  • If you are a KUMC student, then you should already have an account in eCompliance; however, you may need your account enabled by the system administrator if you have not served on previous studies. Please contact for assistance.
  • Otherwise, if you are an individual affiliated with research through KUMC, but not an employee or student at the University, an account may need to be created on your behalf. Please contact the home department of the PI (principal investigator) of the study. The Account Requestor list by KUMC Department will help you identify your contact person.  Account Requestors, please see guide for reference. Network account request user guide.
For those individuals who will have limited interaction with the KUMC research enterprise, you may be able to complete COI via an off-line form. Contact the COI office to discuss this option.
