Completing Your Compliance Training

August 5, 2013

All KU Medical Center faculty/staff:

Today marks the opening of the compliance training window for 2014, and you will have until Sept. 18 to complete your training. While 45 days seems like a lot of time, I encourage you to take care of this as soon as you can. I know we all have busy schedules, and time can slip away from us, so I'm going to complete my training today. This way, I have one less thing on my plate, and I won't have to worry about trying to get it done at the last minute.

As a reminder, our compliance training is a regulatory requirement mandated by the federal and state governments. Because we cannot put this institution at risk of non-compliance, you will need to complete your training by the Sept. 18 deadline in order to remain an employee in good standing and keep your computer access. Training consists of four to five modules and will only take a couple hours of your time at the most. You can save and go back where you left off as often as necessary and can even complete the modules from home.  We really have tried to make this process as easy as possible.

To get started, log in to Chalk to access the training modules. The red exclamation marks will tell you which modules to complete. The green checkmark will let you know when you have successfully completed a module.

Please note: Conflict of Interest (COI) reporting is not part of this compliance training. You will receive a separate email from KU-Lawrence with instructions on how to complete COI

Also, compliance training for The University of Kansas Physicians was held in January and February and will be conducted annually around the same time.

If you have questions about compliance training, please contact Pat Dean-Love.

Thank you.
