Community Leader Student Award

This award recognizes a KU Medical Center student who demonstrates an exemplary commitment to improving the health of a rural or underserved community. One student is chosen each academic year to receive the $600 award.

All enrolled students at KU Medical Center, as well as the Salina and Wichita campuses are eligible. This award is administered by the Division of Student Services. The recipient will be announced at the annual Student Leader Reception.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The nominee must be enrolled at KU Medical Center or the Schools of Medicine in Salina or Wichita during the academic year in which you are applying.
  • Students are only eligible to win this award once.
