KUSM Students and Faculty are invited to join us for Life as a Doctor in Rural Kansas on Wednesday, March 25, 12-1 p.m. Guest speakers include Beth Loney, M.D. and Michael Oller, M.D., family physicians practicing in Stockton, Kansas. The presentation will be live in the Kansas City Rieke Auditorium, and will be presented via ITV in Wichita at the Santa Fe room, and in Salina at Braddick 117. Michael E. Machen, M.D., from Quinter, Kan. was the guest speaker for Life as a Doctor in Rural Kansas on Monday, March 24. Students from Kansas City, Wichita and Salina had the opportunity to listen to Machen speak about his experiences as a physician in a rural Kansas community.
Rural Health Education and Services sponsored the 2013 Life as a Doctor in Rural Kansas luncheon held on the University of Kansas Medical Center's campus on Monday, April 22, 2013. Attendees had the pleasure of listening to Robert P. Moser, JR., M.D., from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment speak about his experiences practicing medicine in rural Kansas.
