Project Director, Project ECHO
Carla Deckert joined the KUMC team at the Center for Telemedicine and Telehealth in February 2016 as the ECHO® Project Manager. She possesses a broad range of experience promoting health care initiatives. Her background includes working to expand health care access to uninsured children and their families, testifying before joint legislative committees about children's health issues, and helping educate health care professionals.
As a lifelong Kansan, Deckert has a keen interest in expanding health care to rural and underserved communities. Successful outreach and management of complex projects have been the cornerstones of Deckert's career. She has served on statewide and national committees tasked with the responsibilities of enhancing clinical health care education, health care workforce development and children's health. Deckert is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®) with a B.A. in Education and a M.A. in Communication from Wichita State University.
