Make a Gift to Health Career Promotion
|Area of Support||Health Care Career Promotion|
|Statement of Philanthropy||
The KU Medical Center Area Health Education Center's Health Career Promotion plays a vital role in the development of future health care professionals. The KU Medical Center AHEC is involved with nine different programs across the state to promote health care careers to rural Kansas high school students. Gifts help ensure the continued effort to provide these opportunities and introduce health care professions to high school students from rural Kansas.
During calendar year 2012, more than 2,500 Kansas high school students participated in our programs. With your donation, we can continue to develop the future of health care in rural Kansas, by providing more opportunities and reach out to more Kansas high school students. Your donation helps to encourage high school students in rural Kansas to pursue a career in health care and return to rural communities as health care professionals. The students of today are tomorrow's leaders.
