The KU Medical Center Area Health Education Center enhances the quality and accessibility of health care services in Kansas through partnerships with communities, health care professionals and organizations, educational institutions and other interested individuals and agencies.
Our services include:
- Promotion of careers in the health care field;
- Continuing education programming for physician, nurses and allied health professionals;
- Community education and health screenings;
- Facilitating health research in the same communities confronting those issues; and
- Development and implementation of clinical opportunities for students in the health professions' programs.

The purpose of the University of Kansas Center for Telemedicine & Telehealth is to provide the citizens of Kansas the best available health care while providing Kansas' health professionals the best available health information and education. With more than 20 years of experience in telemedicine and telehealth, we continue to meet these goals in the most professional, timely and convenient manner possible.
The Outreach Aircraft Program provides transportation for KU Medical Center providers and faculty to various locations statewide for education, research and service activities. Activities may include community-engaged research projects, health professional community education, rural student education purposes, planning meetings, and other related functions. These trips ensure that KUMC can meet the health care needs of local communities and the state in an efficient, cost-effective manner.
