Lowercase "the" except when the name is part of an address. On second reference, KU or university. KU is acceptable on first reference for internal publications.

University of Kansas Medical Center, the
Lowercase "the" except when the name is part of an address. On second reference, KU Medical Center (no "the") or medical center.

University of Kansas School of Medicine, the
Lowercase "the" except when the name is part of an address. On second reference, KU School of Medicine (no "the") or KU School of Medicine.

University of Kansas School of Nursing, the
Lowercase "the" except when the name is part of an address. On second reference, KU School of Nursing (no "the") or KU School of Nursing.

University of Kansas School of Health Professions, the
