KansasThe AP abbreviation is Kan. Avoid using KS.
Kansas, the University of Not Kansas University, except for legal reasons: Kansas University Endowment Association.
Kansas Board of RegentsOn second reference, Board of Regents, Kansas regents, regents or board.
KUKU, without periods, is second reference for the University of Kansas.
KU HospitalThe University of Kansas Hospital capitalizes the T and spells out its entire name in official references. Use of the term "KU Hospital" is not encouraged.
KU Medical CenterKU Medical Center is a second reference for the University of Kansas Medical Center for internal or external use. It may also be used as a standalone phrase in advertising and on forms. "Medical Center" may be appropriate for second reference.
KUMCKUMC is allowable for use in internal communications within the KU Medical Center campus; it is not appropriate for use in publications intended for outside audiences.
KU HealthPartners, Inc.A clinical enterprise operated by the University of Kansas School of Nursing and School of Allied Health. Organized as a 501 (c)(3) corporation, KU HealthPartners is the faculty practice plan and sole entity for which managed care contracts are held regarding professional advanced practice nursing and allied health services provided by faculty of the two schools.
