Public Policy

We work closely with state and federal affairs teams at the University of Kansas in Lawrence to build strong relationships with state and federal policymakers, including the governor, state senators and representatives, federal agency officials, and U.S. senators and representatives on issues including education, health care, job creation and other topics of concern to Kansans.

KU's Office of Government Relations communicates regularly with legislators and other state officials, answering questions and providing information on issues related to KU and to Kansas as a whole. It also provides policymakers with insights into how specific bills and policies impact the university.
