November energy awareness message
There are at least 800 space heaters in use across our campus. A typical space heater consumes around 1,500 watts of electrical energy. This costs KU Medical Center an additional $210,000 each year on our electrical bills. To help curb these costs, consider some alternatives to using space heaters. Read more.

Parking lot construction: All vehicles, including motorcycles, need to be off of Lot 50 (blue permit parking by Hemenway) by 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, through the evening of Nov. 10 for the weekend pavement project. National leader in educating family physicians
The American Academy of Family Physicians conducts an annual census of the medical school graduates who enter family medicine residency programs accredited by the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education, and the University of Kansas ranked No. 2 on the list. Read more.
