After 26 years, Jim Bingham, associate vice chancellor of information resources and chief information officer, has retired. We will miss Jim's high level of commitment and visionary leadership, and we will miss Jim as a mentor, colleague and friend. Compliance training - it's mandatory!
If you have not completed your compliance training, now is the time to get that done. Supervisors and leadership will be notified of those who have not completed training. The consequences of not completing this training costs the university money, time and resources. Read more

Perks in myKUMC: There is a new "Perks" section in myKUMC, Pay & Benefits tab. You can view all the discounts KUMC employees receive with local vendors, along with the codes/contacts for them. Sprint, for example, will give you a 23 percent discount if you mention their code. Check out all the deals.

'Healers' exhibit at Clendening Museum 

"The Healers: Artwork & Artifacts from the exhibit picClendening History of Medicine Museum and Medicine's Hall of Fame & Museum" exhibit highlights past medical practices of 10 different cultures from around the world. The exhibit is open now through March 29, 2013. Read more

According to Eve-Lynn Nelson, Ph.D., psychologist at KU Medical Center, the goal of a new program encouraging healthy behaviors in students is to identify those students early who are high risk and assist them so they can stay in school. Read more.

RN, MN, EdD, APRN, received the Association of Rheumatology Health Professionals (ARHP) President's Award for 2012.

Judith Warren,
Ph.D., RN, BC, FAAN, FACMI, has received the 2012 American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) Virginia K. Saba Informatics Award.

The School of Nursing's
online graduate program is ranked among the best 25 in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. 

Julie Wei,
M.D., had a signing event for her book, A Healthier Wei: Reclaiming Health for a Misdiagnosed & Overmedicated Chidren.
