A little more than a year ago, we introduced new ways for our campus to communicate. This was a result of feedback you provided in our first employee communications survey. Now we want to know how we're doing and what we can do better. Please take 10 minutes to share your thoughts in our employee communications survey, and you could win a $39 gift card to the KU Med Store.
The survey, which you can access through Jan. 31, consists of eight questions and takes fewer than 10 minutes to complete. Answers will remain anonymous. Your feedback will help us continue to improve communications on campus.
Below is a recap of what you told us in the first survey and what we've done so far:
You told us that you wanted to know about leadership updates, campus activities and events, research breakthroughs, faculty and staff recognitions, just to name a few. You also told us that you received too many emails. Thus KUMed Central, our weekly e-newsletter, was born. The newsletter captures a variety of information you said was important, and is distributed once a week, which has helped reduce the number of University Broadcast messages.
You also told us that you would like communications beyond email. As a result, we've established regular town hall meetings with the executive vice chancellor and leaders, produced informational fliers in the elevators and shuttle buses and shelters, and revamped the website's Faculty & Staff page to serve as an information hub for employees.
We want to hear your opinion about these new communications vehicles and any other ways we can continue to improve campus communications. You can take the follow-up employee communications survey now through Jan. 31.
