Energy efficiency to improve at KU Medical CenterSeven million dollars is the annual cost for utilities at KU Medical Center. And that's no April Fools' Day joke. On top of that, the Board of Public Utilities (BPU) will increase our rates by 15 percent in 2014, adding even higher costs to the years ahead. In response, we are asking the KUMC community to help reduce campus-wide energy consumption by 5 to 10 percent, which will also support our efforts to be conscientious planetary citizens. Read more. Stuff that might interest youStudent Research Forum: Faculty and students are invited to stop by the Student Research Forum on Thursday, April 4. This forum supports KUMC's mission of education and research and is an opportunity for the campus to hear what the students have been working on this academic year. Students from all three schools will give seven-minute presentations on their research projects, and you are welcome to drop in and out throughout the sessions.
