Roxanne Mettenburg, MA, MPH, MLS(ASCP) serves as assistant professor for the undergraduate degree program and teaches courses in clinical laboratory science and phlebotomy. Since coming to the Department of Clinical Laboatory Sciences in 1999, Mettenburg has been involved in teaching in several areas, including fundamentals of analytical techniques, phlebotomy, hematology, immunohematology, immunology and introduction to clinical laboratory science. She received excellence in teaching awards from the KU Center for Teaching Excellence in 2000 and 2002.
Prior to coming to KU, Mettenburg worked in a variety of clinical laboratories in the areas of blood bank, chemistry, hematology and flow cytometry, as well as teaching anatomy, physiology, general biology and microbiology at the community-college level.
