Heidi Chumley, M.D. Dr. Heidi Chumley was appointed associate vice chancellor for educational resources and interprofessional education in July 2011. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing the library and teaching and learning technologies, strengthening the campus-wide diversity initiatives and developing a center for interprofessional education. Dr. Chumley received her M.D. degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, where she also completed her residency in family practice and a fellowship in academic leadership. Dr. Chumley has received the Society of Teacher's of Family Medicine President's Award for her work with the Clerkship Curriculum Task Force; the Nason Family Award for Excellence in Family Medicine Education, and has been named one of Kansas City's Top Docs. |

Kristy Johnston, MSW Kristy Johnston, MSW, was selected in January 2012 to serve as the director for the KUMC Center for Interprofessional Education and Simulation program. She is responsible for leading the Interprofessional Education program goals and formulating the business plan to support education, practice and research. Johnston works collaboratively with the interprofessional education and simulation team and executive leaders to identify program components and drive the strategic vision for the program. Prior to taking on her role in the Center for Interprofessional Education and Simulation, Johnston spent 13 years as the Vice President of Children's Hospital Knowledge Exchange a learning collaborative for Children's Hospital Association formerly known as CHCA. She also serves on the board of the American Board of Transplants Certification. Johnston received her master's of social work degree from the University of Kansas in Lawrence and a bachelor's degree in Psychology with an emphasis in education from William Jewel College in Liberty, Mo. |
