The Kansas City Veterans Administration Medical Center (KCVAMC) is affiliated with the University of Kansas School of Medicine as a Dean's Committee Hospital. Approximately 90 KUMC faculty hold part- or full-time positions in the KCVAMC. The VA is located to the east of KUMC in Kansas City, MO, as the Kansas-Missouri State line bisects the greater Kansas City Metro area. Research laboratories of VA biochemistry faculty are located in the Research Building on the west side of the medical complex. This is the eight-story addition on the extreme right in the photo.
