KU ADC Events
Faculty and staff of the KU Alzheimer's Disease Center and their families participated in the 2012 Walk to End Alzheimer's on Oct. 7 in Overland Park.
One of the goals of the KU Alzheimer's Disease Center is to provide educational programming for the general public and academic community through educational events:
- Annual Healthy Aging Symposium
- Annual Alzheimer's and Aging Research Colloquium
- Annual Appreciation Breakfast for KU ADC participants and donors
- Bimonthly Research Seminar Series on Aging, Health, and Dementia
- Cooking classes (see below)
Alzheimer's & Dementia
This is a three-part series at Park Meadows Memory Care in Overland Park, which kicks off Jan. 9 from 4 to 6 p.m. with a presentation by Dr. Jeff Burns, "Alzheimer's Disease Update: From Treatment to Prevention." Call 913-871-6022 for information on how to register. Click here to download brochure.
Cooking Classes
We will soon be offering healthy cooking demonstrations at the KU ADC Cooking demonstrations will emphasize food preparation for brain and heart health.
