People diagnosed with Alzheimer's and their loved ones who care for them need information, education, advice and support.
Caregiver, patient, and community education are an integral part of the mission of the KU ADC. We strive to provide resources to community members and health professionals that is both translatable and relevant to their needs.
NEWSLETTERS: Two e-newsletters each month provides up-to-date information on our research.
CAREGIVER SUPPORT GROUP: By sharing their common experiences, caregivers find camaraderie and comfort while supporting one another.
COMMUNITY EVENTS: Our team hosts regular presentations on Alzheimer's for patients, caregivers and members of the community.
SEMINAR SERIES: Our presentations for health care professionals cover timely and relevant topics on Alzheimer's disease, aging and dementia. The seminars can be attended in person, ITV or Adobe Connect, and Continuing Education credit is available.
