About Clinical Research

The decision to participate in clinical research should be made after careful consideration of all that is being asked within the study.

Some studies involve commitments of one or two visits to a clinician, while others may ask for commitment over multiple months or years. Before deciding to join a study, be sure you understand all risks, potential treatment benefits, and study obligations.

You should be given time to ask questions prior to signing a consent form for any reasearch study.

Who is eligible?

A wide range of volunteers is needed, including:

• Healthy older adults without memory problems
• Individuals with mild memory problems
• People diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease or related dementias
• Minorities

Participants of the KU ADC Registry are also invited to participate in our Brain Autopsy Program.
