Alumni Weekend Recap

We loved having alumni and friends back on campus for 2013 Alumni Reunion Weekend. More than 450 people attended events this year. We hosted tours, panel discussions, class reunion events and more.

The Gold Medal Breakfast for the 50-year class is one of our signature events that we look forward to every year. Members of the 1963 class gathered for breakfast where they shared memories, met current students, visited with classmates and received their 50-year pins. It was a truly wonderful event!

Faculty, staff, alumni, family and friends helped honor our award recipients at the Alumni Awards Lunch. The 2013 honorees are truly remarkable. It was humbling to hear about their accomplishments – innovation in the field of pharmacogenomics, ground-breaking research in the field of stroke rehabilitation, cutting-edge nutrition research and much more.  We celebrated their achievement with a luncheon and recognition ceremony hosted by the Executive Vice Chancellor, Douglas A. Girod, M.D.

We also had class events taking place all over Kansas City. Alumni celebrating reunions gathered with their classmates for brunches, lunches and dinners. These events made for a busy but fun weekend full of opportunities for our alumni to reconnect with classmates and revisit campus. Photos from the weekend’s activities are posted online.

We hope to see many of you at next year’s Alumni Reunion Weekend! Save the date for October 10-11, 2014.
