School of Health Professions Student Senate
The purpose of the Student Senate is to establish an
organization representative of all School of Health Professions students. The
Senate should support and facilitate student involvement as well as
provide an effective voice in the development and application of policies
regarding academics and student affairs, while promoting a positive relationship
and mutual respect among students, faculty, and administration.
Elections are held within each program for the purpose of selecting
representatives. Student Senate Representatives keep the student
body abreast of events that are taking place within the School,
make clear the student position on various issues and suggest new
courses of action for the School of Health Professions.
Basic to the operation of the Student Senate, however, is student
feedback. Students, develop a communicative relationship with your
program representative and share your ideas, opinions, and needs.
