Resources
Some programs in the KU School of Health Professions also offer unique scholarship opportunities to students in
their specific fields.
The School's Diversity Committee provides helpful resources and scholarship opportunities outside KU, organized by specific background or ethnicity.
Additional assistance is available from the KUMC Student Services financial aid website.
Students should not wait to be accepted into an academic program to begin the financial aid process. Even if the admission application deadline for your intended program is after February 14, you are strongly encouraged to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Financial Aid (FAFSA) and KU financial aid documents by the February 14 priority deadline. These documents are required for students intending to enter a program this year. Some financial aid grants and low interest loans have limited funding. If you apply for financial aid after the priority deadline, any remaining financial aid will be awarded as available. Even if you do not plan to request financial aid, you are encouraged to file the FAFSA annually (same timeline as above). The School of Health Professions has scholarship funds (awarded in the spring for the next academic year starting in fall) for students based on merit, financial need, or both. Your FAFSA enables us to consider you for all scholarship funds available. The FAFSA and KU Medical Center financial aid application process must be completed annually.
University of Kansas students receiving financial aid while on the Lawrence campus must re-apply through the KU Medical Center financial aid office because financial assistance will not be transferred from the Lawrence campus to programs in the School of Health Professions.
Your total financial aid award package, including scholarships, loans, or need-based aid, cannot be finalized until your admission application materials and fee have been received and you have been accepted to KU.
