Respiratory Care

All incoming students to the KU respiratory care program must complete the following prior to the first day of class:

1. Read the following documents carefully. These are in the Angel community group as well. They require Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and may be printed, if needed:
   • Student Policies & Procedures
   • Technical Standards
   • Textbook list available at KUMC bookstore
     
     
2. Student Health and Insurance Requirements
   Please review the student health requirements and verify you have provided all required documentation. Students need to have the immunization form completed by their MD and must complete the short health history form. Student health insurance is required and an acknowledgement of the student health insurance policy must be returned to the KUMC Office of Student Health. These forms may be downloaded from the student health site. An enrollment physical may be obtained from the student health clinic on campus. See the FAQ on student health at KUMC.
   
   
3. Criminal Background Checks
   Please read the School of Health Professions background check policy and follow the instructions. Results will be kept on file with KU School of Health Professions. Please contact Moffett Ferguson in the Office of Student Affairs (913-588-5275) for questions about background checks.
   
   
4. Enroll and Pay
   Enrollment, tuition and fee payments are completed online. To enroll in the appropriate courses for each semester, see the curriculum page. Log on to the KU Enroll and Pay System and use your username and password to access your account. Tuition and fees for respiratory care.
