Background Checks
Beginning Jan 1, 2004, the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) initiated a requirement for all incoming students to pay for a background check. This one-time fee must be paid directly to the company performing the background investigation. You will be asked to provide information and make the payment once you have been officially accepted into the program. For more information, please see the School of Allied Health Background Check Instructions.

Degree-completion Program and Transfer Students
A maximum of 64 credit hours may be transferred to the program from another academic institution. However, to graduate from KU, 45 credits must be from junior/senior-level course work. This means transfer students must convert at least 11 hours from an associate degree program to KU junior/senior level. The cost for this is $12.50 per course converted.
