Research Labs: Functional Performance Laboratory

The Functional Performance Laboratory’s mandate is to provide scientific evidence for developing best practices in the reduction of disability for adults with neurological deficits. Specifically, the lab is focused on determining what post-stroke motor control and cognitive deficits are not being revealed by standard clinical measures. The Functional Performance Lab is also determining whether or not cognitive training can improve cognitive skills and alter patterns of brain activity during verbal learning tasks in adults with mild Alzheimer’s disease.
