How to Apply

The KU Post-professional DPT program will be closed to new applications after July 1, 2012. The program will remain open to students currently enrolled and to those who enroll by Fall 2012.
Application Deadline*
To apply for a specific semester, application materials must be received by the following dates:
• Fall Semester: July 1
• Spring: November 1
• Summer: April 1

Class Starts:
Fall, Spring or Summer

*Class sizes are limited and qualified applicants are accepted on a first-come basis.

Before you start the online application

It will be helpful if you have the following information ready before starting the online application:

  1. Personal Essay - Prepare, copy and paste into the online application a written statement of five hundred (500) words telling us why you are seeking a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and how successful completion of the program will change your practice.

  2. Please provide a resume detailing education beyond high school, employment in physical therapy including job title, dates of employment and job responsibilities, honors you have received, professional publications, presentations you have given, membership and participation in professional organizations, other professional credentials or certification, programs completed or in progress, and continuing education courses in the last 2 years.

  3. Electronic copy of your PT License

  4. Have available the names and contact information of three (3) individuals who will be writing recommendations for you, including e-mail addresses. Two references from currently practicing physical therapists are recommended. Make sure they are willing to submit the reference electronically.

  5. Arrange to have one official copy of each transcript from every college and university that you have attended sent directly to the following address:

    Please include both undergraduate and graduate course work.

Online Application and Fee

Applicants must submit their initial application and pay the non-refundable application fee online by the posted deadline.

Using the link above, please submit your completed application and pay the $60 application fee. The application fee is paid when you click SUMBIT from the online application. Applicants can pay by Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express or by Electronic Check. U.S. banks only. Application fees are non-refundable. Electronic checks will be held for approximately six business days while the check clears.
