Faculty Profile: Christita Weber, CRNA, MS
Christita Weber, CRNA, MS, obtained her basic nursing education from Barton County Community
College in Great Bend, Kansas. She followed with a Bachelor of General Science
from Fort Hays University in Hays, Kan. and later earned a Master of
Science in Nurse Anesthesia from the University of Kansas Medical
Center.
She currently is pursuing doctoral studies in education.
Weber works in the clinical setting providing guidance to students. She teaches advanced anesthesia classes.
Weber also takes part in student advising along with other clinical faculty
and serves as advisor/chair for students' thesis/field project research. She has completed original research in the area of Career Choices for the Registered
Nurse and has research interest in Fatigue and It's Impact on Learning. She also has an interest in simulator learning and the transition to clinical practice.
In addition to her duties at the medical center, Weber is a captain in
the Army Reserves and spends much of her spare time training with her reserve
unit
at Topeka, Kan. She's also a member of Sigma Theta Tau.
