Dietetics and Nutrition

Our Philosophy
The goal of the University of Kansas Dietetic Internship Program is to produce registered dietitians with enhanced skills in nutrition therapy for health and education positions that will provide services for the citizens of Kansas, the region, the nation, and the world.

The goals of our program are to:

1. Admit students with the desire and ability both to practice at an entry level and to perform graduate-level course work.
2. Conduct an efficient program that is individualized to meet the educational needs of students.
3. Train students to practice dietetics at the entry level and expose them to the advantages of a Master of Science in dietetics and nutrition.
4. Help students with appropriate career or education placement upon graduation.
