Mr. Beyer currently teaches Applied Clinical Nutrition (DN 826) and special topics in nutrition. He has over 40 years experience in clinical dietetics with 20 years as clinical nutrition manager and more than 35 years experience in education and research.

Mr. Beyer was awarded a Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Missouri in 1974 and performed his dietetic internship in 1968 at the VA Center West Los Angeles, Calif.

Research Focus
Beyer's primary research interests include the role of diet and nutrition in gastrointestinal disorders and applied clinical nutrition in general.
He has published approx. 35 refereed manuscripts, and 18 chapters in 7 different nutrition textbooks. He has also been invited to make over 250 presentations at national and regional nutrition and medical conferences and presented approximately 50 abstracts and posters at national meetings.
