Karyotyping

Services provided by the facility

• Culture and arrest embryonic stem cells in metaphase with colcemid.
• Preparation of 40 chromosome spreads (following a basic Giesma staining protocol). 
• The facility will count and determine percentage of euploid cells.

Responsibilities of the investigator

• Provide the facility with frozen ampule of ES cells.
• Submit a “service request form”

Fee for Karyotyping service

• $220.00 for ES cell karyotyping per clone.
