In Vitro Fertilization (IVF)/Rederivation

Services provided by the facility

• Use Hormone induced eggs from CD-1 females for IVF unless requested and approved by the facility. 
• Record fresh or thawed sperm viability and motility.
• Pseudopregnant females to implant embryos.
• Housing for mice until weening.

Responsibilities of the investigator

1. Provide one male or 2 vials of frozen sperm unless sperm is frozen in the facility.
2. Infected mice are not accepted for rederivation from outside institutions.  If internally infected mice are submitted for rederivation, surrogate females will be housed in LAR’s internal quarantine room and subject to investigator’s per diem.
3. Submit a “service request form”.

Fees for Gene Targeted Mouse service

• $550.00 per each IVF effort.
• Service Request Form for IVF.
