Don't Switch Formats!
Once you've selected a general 'look' of the presentation by deciding on the color scheme, fonts, etc., stick to it!
- Your audience will learn the meaning of your choices, and anticipate important concepts you've identified in your graphics.
- Change distracts an audience; your audience will pay more attention to a change in background color than what you will be saying.
Progressive disclosure is one effective means of using a consistent approach to explain a complex topic.
