On-screen sizing
This hint is for those moments of indecision as you create and modify the visuals using some form of graphics software. Simply expand the visual until it takes up the full screen - have you noticed that most computer monitor screens share the same proportions as 4"x6" index cards? Then kick back until you are about 6 feet away from the screen.
Anything you can see or read easily should be about the right size. A hidden benefit is the exercise this provides for the desk-bound.
That's all fine, but what about when you actually get the slides back from the developer? Ideally, of course, you'd like to try the slides in a large lecture hall. We do live in an imperfect world, so you can also try this . . .
