Sexuality and Disability

Note this is an assignment to be completed by each student as an individual.

This assignment is worth 15 points and is due on March 12th. It should be submitted in class only (not electronically).

For this assignment, please first find and read a definition of 'sexuality' used in healthcare literature. Then go to the professional literature and seek out three (3) reports related to sexuality and disability that also are relevant to the concept of contextual or environmental domains. These may be reports related to research, to clinical interventions, or to policy. At least one of the reports must be obtained from a source other than Occupational Therapy literature.

Make a photocopy of the first page of each report, being sure to include the title, source, and abstract. Next, write one 5 - 10 sentence paragraph (e.g., brief, but not too sparse!) summarizing each article using your own words. Be sure to include statements saying why you believe each report is relevant to this course and to the practice of Occupational Therapy. Also be sure to avoid biased or other non-professional language, but do be sure to check your grammar and spelling!

Finally, be sure to include your name on your summary page(s) but DO NOT include your name on the photocopied pages.
