This booklet contains all the information and forms you will need to attend the 26th Annual American Society for Photobiology Meeting, July 11-15, 1998, in Snowbird, Utah (near Salt Lake City). Please read carefully. The centerfold section contains forms for submission of abstracts and other forms required for meeting registration and hotel reservations. Specific instructions for completing these forms are included in this "General Information" section and following sections in this booklet. Please see the inside front cover for deadlines.
All forms should be returned to the ASP SECRETARIAT OFFICE; however,
the Hotel Reservation Formand the Ground Transportation should be returned
directly to the hotel at the address indicated on the form.

on page 4 and in the centerfold section
of this booklet.
The deadline for receipt of abstracts is February 24, 1998.
Abstracts must conform to the instructions explicitly. Information regarding the submission of abstracts can be found on pages 7, 8 and on the reverse side of the abstract form. Abstracts will be prepared by a direct reproduction of the abstract you type. You MUST use the original abstract form supplied in this booklet. Two copies are enclosed and you may obtain extra copies from the Society Office. Fax copies are not suitable for printing.
ASSOCIATE MEMBER TRAVEL AWARDS
The American Society for Photobiology will provide partial financial support for predoctoral and postdoctoral research trainees wishing to attend the 26th Annual Meeting in Snowbird.
Abstract submissions from predoctoral and postdoctoral candidates will judged separately.
Award candidates must be members of the Society or must be sponsored by a member. If you wish to become a member, you may enclose a completed membership form with your award application. (See Membership Form on page 19.)
Original abstract, three copies, supporting letter from project advisor and a completed "Travel Award Application" (Page 15 of this booklet) must be received by February 24, 1998 to be considered for an award. See page 7 of this booklet for details.
If you would like to be notified of the receipt of your abstract, a form is included in the centerfold pages. Complete the address portion, affix sufficient return postage and attach to a copy of your abstract at the time of submission.
All abstracts accepted for presentation will be printed in a supplemental issue of PHOTOCHEMISTRY AND PHOTOBIOLOGY. This will be mailed in June to all Society members. Copies will be available at the meeting for all registered Non Member Participants. Members are asked to bring their copy to the meeting. Additional copies may be purchased at the registration desk.
Positions open and positions wanted may be listed with the Photobiology Office. If you are looking for a position, please bring your CV to the meeting. This may be left at the meeting registration desk along with a time you will be available to interview. Prospective employers are requested to furnish a brief description of the position available and a time that the representative of the organization or institution will be available to meet with interested candidates. Space will be provided at the meeting for interviews.
