The AMA-MSS at KUMC is actively involved in many community service projects at KU Medical Center and in the Greater Kansas City area. The list below will soon contain many programs of which you can take part!

Don't Choke on Smoke (DCOS)
This is a fun, interactive smoking prevention program for 4-6 graders. It is open to all KUMC students to
participate and is sponsored by the American Cancer Society. It is a great way to make a positive difference in the lifestyles and choices of children in the Kansas City area. For more information, contact DCOS chair
Pon Arunakul (marunakul@kumc.edu). At a special training session, you will review the DCOS script and proceed through one of the 45-minute presentations. Most presentations are arranged with schools ahead of time and involve two presenters.
